Position Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to conduct research in support of the N.C. A&T Aggie Academy and the Center of Excellence for Educational Equity Research in the areas of Leadership in Education and Educator Preparation. The post-doctoral fellow will also participate in teaching and mentoring graduate students.

The mission of the forthcoming Center of Excellence for Educational Equity Research is to advance research to inform educational policies and practices for greater equity in K-12 and Higher Education contexts. The Center research and professional learning programming will also inform teaching, leadership, and counseling practices to create anti-racist and culturally sustaining learning environments for all learners.

A&T Aggie Academy is committed to culturally responsive and sustainable teaching and learning practices; holistic child development through building social-emotional learning (SEL) skills and restorative practices; developing critical and creative thinking skills through integrative STEAM curriculum and inquiry based and experiential learning opportunities; and intentional and purposeful family and community engagement.

Minimum Requirements

  • A doctoral degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field.
  • Skills include critical thinking, time management, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
