Post Doctoral Associate - PQ6 Project

Core Job Functions

• Counsels and advises clients on legal matters.
• Prepares legal documents and briefs.
• Investigates the feasibility of legal strategies and solutions.
• Maintains knowledge of legal trends and developments.
• Develops and implements legal strategies and solutions.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Core Qualifications

• Ph.D. required.
• Prior experience is preferred but not required.

Department Specific Functions

• Two Post-Doctoral positions are immediately available.
• The research will focus on the interplay between KSHV and HIV in the development of HIV/AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma.
• This study involves working with cell / tissue culture, EcoHIV, and immunodeficient and immunocompetent animals.
• The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent degree with a strong background in molecular/cellular biology, virology, innate immunity, signal transduction, and cancer animal models.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, and experience working with knockout mice, nude/SCID mice or PDX mice, and viral infection models is preferred.
