Job Description

A Post-doctoral Associate in the area of spatial biology position is available to work in a project on the Spatial proteomics and transcriptomics led by Dr. Fan Hong in the Department of Chemistry. We have a position available in our group to work on (1) DNA advanced imaging method development for spatial transcriptomic and proteomics. (2) Translation research to apply the developed methods to study Alzheimer and cancer diseases.

Must have PhD in Chemistry and Biology related field. This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds, may be renewed for up to three years.

Classification Minimum Requirements

Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biology or a closely related field.

Required Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, excellent communication, and time management.
  • Protein conjugation chemistry, DNA nanotechnology
  • Fluorescent imaging, cell culture experience
  • At least one-first authored publication in well-regarded peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred

  • Programming skills in MATLAB, python
  • Spatial Multi-omic Image analysis skills.
