Core Responsibilities
- Works and collaborates on studies related to field of study.
- Ensures the design, development, execution and implementation of scientific research and/or development in collaboration with a research team.
- Investigates the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories to potential inventions and products.
- Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
- Contributes to scientific literature and conferences, when appropriate.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in their specialty.
- No work experience is required.
- The ability to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative group.
- A track record of publications.
- Willingness to spend periods of two weeks to two months doing fieldwork in possible exerting conditions.
- Experience with bacteriophage genomics, green and purple bacteria physiology and growth, anaerobic growth cultures, field mesocosms, and geomicrobiology are all desirable but not required.
- A deep interest in phage biology and microbial community interactions with their geochemical environment.
