Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct population phenotyping studies to evaluate resistance to Aspergillus infection and aflatoxin contamination.
- Perform metabolomic, genotypic, and transcriptomic analyses to identify genetic mechanisms associated with resistance.
- Execute genetic mapping to link phenotypic traits with underlying genetic markers.
- Utilize and manage research materials generated in laboratory, greenhouse, and field environments to support experimental objectives.
Qualifications
- PhD in plant biology, genetics, or breeding-related field.
- Molecular and cellular biology knowledge and skills.
- Some experience with metabolomics and bioinformatics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven publication record.
