Duties/Responsibilities

• Conduct research on a pre-specified project as well as ones of their own design.
• Publish research findings.
• Manage and implement tissue engineering studies in the Harbor Lights Laboratory.
• Take on senior responsibilities such as research mentoring, grant writing, and publishing.
• Coordinate day-to-day research activities in the laboratory.

About the Role

The postdoctoral associate will conduct research on a pre-specified project as well as ones of their own design and publish that research. The postdoc will take on senior responsibilities like research mentoring, grant writing, and publishing. Primary responsibilities will include management and implementation of tissue engineering studies in the Harbor Lights Laboratory. A research leader with background in biomaterials and cell biology is needed in order to manage coordinate the day-to-day research activities in the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., or equivalent degree, with a background in Bioengineering or Cell Biology, or a related area of science.
• Familiarity with biomaterials and cellular engineering.
• Preferred knowledge of molecular genetic, biochemical, histological, and immunological techniques to examine factors affecting cell behaviors on biomaterial substrates.
