Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive bio-psycho-social diagnostic assessment at intake and at any point needed throughout the therapeutic treatment.
  • Provide psychotherapeutic treatments; be well versed in at least two treatment modalities.
  • Create patient centered treatment plans, provide ongoing treatment, provide case management services, and assess patient’s ongoing clinic needs and progress.
  • Incorporate feedback from supervision to improve clinical skills and performance.

Requirements

  • Practicum and Internship experience in the diagnosis and treatment of those problems specific to mentally ill patients manifesting a wide spectrum of illnesses and symptoms.
  • Practicum and Internship experience consulting and/or collaborating with the various agencies that provide care for mentally ill patients.
  • Completion and graduation from an accredited graduate program that grants a degree allowing psychologist to practice under supervision as a psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Doctoral degree, with commensurate practicum and internship which focused on clinical mental health practice.
  • Quality training in psychotherapeutic techniques. Psychologist must be trained in treating patients with a range of mental illness and different levels of functioning.
