Post Closing Specialist

About the role

The Post Closing Specialist supports the Loan Operations team by handling various post-closing activities across different industries, ensuring data integrity and quality of loan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a diverse loan portfolio, including real estate, construction, and various business sectors.
• Deliver exceptional service to internal clients and external vendors, managing daily workflow.
• Verify and index completed loan documents and packages within the core system.
• Track and manage exceptions using the exception tracking system.
• Accurately review and verify loan agreements, title policies, and attorney instructions for lien releases.
• Ensure proper maintenance and storage of physical documentation in a secure environment.
• Receive, log, and distribute incoming loan documents and packages securely.
• Accurately calculate and confirm payoff amounts.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues within given authority.
• Monitor and communicate with incoming wire transactions.
• Communicate with team members and partners regarding loan transactions, research, and exceptions.
• Promptly identify and address errors.
• Assist in advancing positive change within the team and organization.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a supportive work environment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience with post-closing functions and managing multiple workflow systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work independently and handle high-volume, demanding environments.
• Knowledge of post-closing processes and industry-specific requirements.
• Experience with FIS and Sageworks is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2-4 years of banking experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience preferred.
• 6+ years of banking experience, preferably in commercial loan operations.
• 1+ years of experience with FIS and Sageworks.
