About the role
The Post-Acute Medical Director will lead the medical direction of a post-acute care facility, overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing clinical leadership to the medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Provide clinical leadership to the medical staff, including physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to improve patient care and satisfaction.
- Ensure effective communication between the medical staff and patients/families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to address complex patient cases.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or relevant specialty.
- At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare management role, preferably in post-acute care settings.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and documentation.
Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Indiana.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of post-acute care regulations and standards.

$180,000 - $200,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
