Job Summary

Possessing a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs, Positive Support Specialists (PSS) work in our Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs. These programs focus on helping individuals achieve their goals while ensuring safety and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in performing essential life skills such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and navigating the community.
• Advocate for individuals in areas like rights, medical care, and community participation.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping during each shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, including the potential use of manual restraints.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma, but a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum experience: 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs, but 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
