POS Field Tech

This is a field-based role providing onsite technical support across multiple business locations within an assigned territory.

About the role

You will deliver high-quality end-user support, resolve technical issues, install and maintain IT equipment, and ensure a positive customer experience through responsive and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for end-users
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices, servers)
• Install and maintain IT equipment, including plug-and-play devices
• Support point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail store environments
• Document, track, and manage installs using ticketing systems
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge management practices
• Escalate issues to higher-level support teams when necessary
• Check in, deliver pictures, and maintain documentation
• Communicate status updates and manage customer expectations according to SLA requirements
• Work independently while collaborating across teams

Requirements

• Experience supporting a wide range of hardware, software, and networking technologies in a field-based environment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills (technical and non-technical)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience using ticketing systems
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, client-driven environment

Pay

The rate for this position is between $24.00 - $32.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
