Portuguese Language Instructor

About the role

We are looking to expand our language offerings and are seeking a Portuguese teacher (Iberian and/or Brazilian) for private classes and small groups of all levels for adults. The position is part-time, per course, with classes held in Downtown Boston and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Teach Portuguese to adults in both group and private settings
• Design language curricula independently
• Engage students of all proficiency levels effectively

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Portuguese Language and Literature, or a related field
• Native fluency in Portuguese
• 2 years’ experience teaching Portuguese to adults in both group and private classes
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule
• Experience in multicultural settings and working with a diverse team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related field
• Fluency in Spanish and/or English
• Ability or interest in teaching additional languages
