Portland Community Squash Seeks Executive Director
About the Role
Portland Community Squash (PCS) is seeking its next Executive Director. Founding Executive Director Barrett Takesian will support the transition before pursuing new community-building ventures. This full-time position reports to the Board of Directors.
About Portland Community Squash
PCS is a multicultural and multigenerational community center serving hundreds of individuals and families weekly through guided programs and open-access membership. We use squash, education, wellness, and community-building to foster opportunities, relationships, and belonging. We provide scholarships, meals, transportation, and mentorship to ensure full participation. What started as a youth squash program has evolved into a community-building model replicated in other cities.
PCS operates on a $1.5 million budget, with over half from contributed revenue and the rest from membership fees and sales. We are financially stable, well-governed, and well-run, with a strong leadership team and an engaged, supportive board. Our team includes 7 full-time and 20 part-time staff, plus many volunteers.
