About the role

Amegy Bank is seeking a seasoned Portfolio Manager to join our Central Texas Commercial & Corporate Banking Team in San Antonio, TX. This role focuses on managing and servicing loan portfolios, spreading and analyzing financial statements, and identifying industry risk.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of loan relationships.
  • Spread and analyze financial statements, addressing industry risks, collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitoring credit performance, and loan presentations.
  • Report on loan activities related to past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, and portfolio profitability.
  • Maintain existing client relationships.
  • Assist Relationship Managers with credit requests.
  • Expand, build, and maintain client relationships while providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Cross-sell other bank products.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in General Business, Finance, Accounting, Commercial Banking, or equivalent/relevant program.
  • 4+ years of directly related experience preferred; a combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Ability to apply prudent risk management concepts to the portfolio, including the application of basic principles, theories, and concepts to deals of varying complexity.
  • Intermediate knowledge of credit analysis, spreading and analyzing financial statements, credit scoring, and loan documentation.
  • Experience with bank loan and deposit systems.
