Portfolio Manager

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of direct indexing solutions
• Manage day-to-day operations of direct index portfolios, including construction, rebalancing, and trade review
• Implement tax transitioning and tax loss harvesting strategies for tax efficiency
• Conduct portfolio analysis and reporting for direct index strategies
• Collaborate with trading and client service groups to enhance portfolio management efficiency
• Work with stakeholders to improve investment processes and management tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Graduate degree and CFA designation strongly preferred
• 5-7+ years of hands-on investment management experience
• Experience managing equity portfolios with a focus on tax efficiency and direct indexing preferred
• Expertise in tax loss harvesting to generate tax alpha
• Strong understanding of ESG, sustainability investing, and tax optimization in direct indexing
• Operational experience with process analysis and improvements
• Familiarity with equity risk models and portfolio optimizers

Pay

$140,000 – $160,000 annually
