About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of direct indexing solutions
- Manage day-to-day operations of direct index portfolios, including construction, rebalancing, and trade review
- Implement tax transitioning and tax loss harvesting strategies for tax efficiency
- Conduct portfolio analysis and reporting for direct index strategies
- Collaborate with trading and client service groups to enhance portfolio management efficiency
- Work with stakeholders to improve investment processes and management tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Graduate degree and CFA designation strongly preferred
- 5-7+ years of hands-on investment management experience
- Experience managing equity portfolios with a focus on tax efficiency and direct indexing preferred
- Expertise in tax loss harvesting to generate tax alpha
- Strong understanding of ESG, sustainability investing, and tax optimization in direct indexing
- Operational experience with process analysis and improvements
- Familiarity with equity risk models and portfolio optimizers
