About the role
The Portfolio Manager will play a critical role within the Capital Markets team, overseeing ongoing compliance, reporting, and operational obligations across the Company’s portfolio of financed projects. This individual will act as a central point of ownership and coordination between internal teams (finance, development, construction, operations, legal) and external stakeholders (lenders, tax equity investors, insurers, and advisors) to ensure all financing and project-level requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Lead compliance with all covenants, reporting obligations, and deliverables under corporate credit facilities, project-level debt, and tax equity agreements
- Own the preparation and timely delivery of periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), including financial statements, operating reports, compliance certificates, and investor updates
- Track key dates, milestones, and obligations across all financing agreements
- Partner with NineDot colleagues to gather required inputs from finance, development, construction, operations, and legal teams
- Manage and execute draw requests under construction loan facilities, including lender coordination and documentation review
- Oversee the process of adding new distributed energy projects into existing financing structures (construction debt and tax equity), including satisfaction of conditions precedent
- Coordinate with internal company stakeholders to ensure readiness for funding milestones
- Maintain detailed draw schedules and funding trackers
- Oversee the Company’s insurance program across the project portfolio and corporate level (property, liability, builder’s risk, etc.)
- Ensure all insurance policies meet requirements under financing agreements and project contracts
- Track renewals, certificates, and compliance deliverables
- Identify coverage gaps and coordinate mitigation strategies
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact and liaison with the Company’s insurance broker
- Carefully coordinate with lenders, tax equity investors, and third-party advisors on compliance, reporting, and operational matters
- Support diligence requests, audits, and ad hoc information needs from financing counterparties

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project finance, asset management, or portfolio management within energy, infrastructure, or IPP platforms
- Strong hands on experience with tax equity structures, construction financing, and project-level debt
- Experience managing compliance and reporting under complex financing agreements
- Understanding of insurance requirements for energy or infrastructure projects
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills preferred
