Portfolio Architect, Gas Real Time Systems and Security (Hybrid)

About the role

Eversource seeks an experienced Information Technology Architect to lead the planning and implementation of the company's IT architecture, focusing specifically on the Gas Realtime systems and Security. This role requires a deep understanding of IT and Operational Technology (OT), as well as familiarity with AVEVA suite of tools and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software.

Responsibilities

• Builds and grows talent in the solution architecture discipline, leading highly technical teams to achieve desired business outcomes
• Champions the value of architecture and communicates across the organization to foster better linkage between application development and the infrastructure organization
• Manages portfolio IT roadmaps, designs, and guides technology direction within a portfolio of applications aligned with business roadmaps
• Collaborates with other architects on strategy alignment across portfolios and enterprise
• Onboards and manages members of the team, including the design and modeling of solutions, component identification and acquisition, quality review, and development of guidelines and procedures
• Analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses, risks, and opportunities for improvements
• Develops materials and presents on current and future architecture trends and their impact on the enterprise
• Coordinates with the PMO, Portfolio Managers, and Product Centers on planning upcoming projects and work
• Supports the portfolio and assists on complex troubleshooting that spans solutions in the portfolio

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of Architecture or lead subject matter expert experience
• Three or more years of experience in supervising and leading architects
• Understanding of the difference between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT)
• Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques
• Track record of leading and delivering cost-effective solutions
• Experience in managing all aspects of vendor relationships including vendor performance and SLA adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong business acumen, big-picture thinking, experienced working with leadership and leading a team
• SAFe Agile planning and work methodologies
• Test and/or Behavior driven development planning within an Agile context
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline-based delivery mechanisms
• Microsoft Azure experience preferred

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program, including a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is $154,560.00-$171,730.00. Eversource supports work-life balance by offering hybrid schedules for certain roles, with employees required to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the third day set by the employee and supervisor based on department needs. These guidelines apply to roles approved for remote work and are subject to change based on managerial discretion and work performance.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is: $154,560.00-$171,730.00

Schedule

Must be available to work emergency storm assignments as required. Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
