Portfolio Architect & Enterprise Systems Engineer
About the role
The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Portfolio Architect & Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity in Chantilly, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support to government intelligence community customers in portfolio management, digital engineering, and system-of-systems engineering
- Engage directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers
- Support the deployment or implementation of existing tools, models, and frameworks
- Identify new capabilities and enhancements that will better support the customer programs and architectures
- Initiate studies designed to solve complex problems and provide new and innovative technical solutions
- Take initiative, have flexibility, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Leverage Aerospace’s technical backplane to provide tailored, technical support and innovative solutions for customer-specific use cases
- Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements for the Senior Member of the Technical Staff
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline
- Typically, at least 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in systems engineering or related engineering disciplines
- Experience in systems engineering, systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, and/or digital engineering
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Take initiative, have flexibility, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and well adept at oral and written communication
- Familiarity with MBSE modeling languages such as System Modeling Language (SysML) and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler and SparX Enterprise Architecture
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Take initiative, have flexibility, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Active TS security clearance or Q security clearance
Qualifications
- Available and willing to travel domestically, approx. 5-10%
Skills
- Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or other related technical discipline
- Demonstrated leadership of broad multidisciplinary teams conducting technical evaluations of complex systems; cost, schedule and risk analysis; portfolio-level trade studies; and requirements development
- Experience with and/or working knowledge of the Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) span of technical capabilities and organizational construct
- Experience with Intelligence Community systems engineering and programmatic processes, methods, tools, and personnel
- Experience briefing senior Government leaders (General Officer and/or SES/SIS)

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
