About the role

We are seeking an Investment Analyst / Portfolio Analyst to join a growing investment team in Danvers, MA. This position will support portfolio construction, investment analysis, data review, and day-to-day portfolio management activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and naturally curious. You should be comfortable working with investment data, identifying inconsistencies or unusual results, and digging into the underlying information to understand and resolve issues. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction and maintenance of investment portfolios based on established investment strategies and models.
  • Analyze portfolio holdings, allocations, performance, and other investment data.
  • Review data and reports to identify discrepancies, outliers, and unusual trends.
  • Investigate the underlying causes of data or portfolio issues and work toward appropriate resolutions.
  • Support implementation of portfolio changes and investment recommendations.
  • Assist with investment reporting, research, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Work closely with other members of the investment team to ensure portfolio information is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain and organize investment data and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements and help develop more efficient approaches to portfolio analysis and reporting.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the firm's investment philosophy, systems, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Approximately 2-5 years of experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, asset management, wealth management, investment operations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with investment, portfolio, performance, or financial data.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small investment team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CFA progress or designation is a plus, but not required.
