Portfolio Analyst

About the role
The Portfolio Analyst will support portfolio management activities for balanced multi-asset class portfolios, tailored to the customized investment needs of clients. This role requires a high level of sophistication and flexibility in understanding and implementing diverse investment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Participate in portfolio management activities, including management of liquidity needs and analysis of equity, fixed income, and opportunistic alternative investments.
- Ensure portfolio managers have adequate information to perform daily portfolio management duties, with a strong focus on various information systems.
- Develop investment strategies for clients in coordination with the Portfolio Management team and the Investment Solutions Group.
- Assist in managing all aspects of client relationships, including communication, trading, and coordination with Portfolio Managers, Strategic Advisors, Client Service, and Marketing.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience preferred.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related subject.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); Charles River and APX strongly preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion.
- Demonstrated passion for financial markets.
- Progress toward or completion of MBA, CFA, and/or Equity Analyst experience preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization.
- Ability to work in the Baltimore office.
- Demonstrates curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and leverage new technologies and tools, including AI-enabled productivity solutions.
Pay
Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000. Does not include bonus or long-term incentive eligibility.
