PORTER-PRN (ON-CALL)

About the Role

Performs preparation and service of food under general supervision. Duties may involve cold preparation and assembly; cutting, chopping, portioning of food products; assembly of patient food trays; cafeteria assignments (cashiering, serving, etc.); dish room; stock management and other tasks as assigned. Will be cross-trained in a variety of tasks within the Food Services department, and may provide support for the Coffee and Smoothie Bars. May be trained to utilize the steamers, warmers/ovens and fryers, to support cafeteria production. Takes into consideration age-related factors in the preparation and delivery of food for patients, staff and visitors.

Requirements

• Basic reading and comprehension skills
• Ability to perform math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in order to do production tally and run a cash register

Preferred:

• High School Diploma
• SERVE SAFE Certification
