Porter (Floor Tech)

Responsibilities

• Assures that resident areas are clean, orderly, and safe at all times.
• Maintains buffer and vacuum cords for resident safety.
• Maintains needed repairs to facility equipment.
• Fulfills directions from Environmental Service Supervisor and facility Plant Manager.
• Enforces infection control within the facility at all times.
• Ensures sanitation and cleanliness of housekeeping equipment at all times.
• Ensures sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of equipment storage areas and janitor closets at all times.
• Ensures correct labeling and proper storage of housekeeping chemicals.
• Monitors housekeeping equipment repair and notifies supervisor of any failures.
• Maintains condition of equipment cords such as buffers and vacuums.
• Affirms that hallways and entrances are clear of debris at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
