About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Porter. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent customer service skills, a passion for delivering a high-quality product, and creating a positive team member and resident experience. Responsibilities
- Ensure the property looks exceptional at all times by maintaining cleanliness both inside and out, including timely trash pickup.
- Follow safety programs and policies to ensure the well-being of team members and residents; report and address safety concerns promptly.
- Walk the property regularly to maintain tidiness, safety, and minimize liabilities.
- Communicate effectively with the maintenance team regarding items that need attention and interact directly with residents on concerns, property events, and notices.
- Assist with operational needs as they arise to ensure efficient property operations, managing multiple resident services and facility requests with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Complete unit-turns for vacated apartments to provide clean and well-maintained homes for new residents.
- Support resident events by assisting with setup, takedown, and other tasks to foster an inclusive and connected community.
- Proactively solve problems, even outside your primary responsibilities, and take on additional initiatives as they emerge.
- Seek opportunities to demonstrate leadership and contribute to the company’s larger objectives.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Customer-centric with a warm demeanor, positive attitude, and impeccable follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and leadership skills to motivate team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines and interruptions.
- Maintain organized filing systems and office areas.
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation (applicable to New Orleans).
- Knowledge of the city and local transportation options, including public and private services.
- Fluency in English.
- Basic knowledge of technology, including smartphones and computers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
Physical Demands
This position involves regular walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods. May occasionally require stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment, including extended computer use. Involves manual dexterity for using keyboards, mice, and other office equipment. May require moving or lifting items at or over 40 pounds.
Schedule
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on company needs. Requires regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
