Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors across all areas of the facility
- Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, work areas, windows, and mirrors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all guest-facing and back-of-house spaces
- Clean, sanitize, and fully stock restrooms throughout shifts
- Remove trash and recycling regularly and maintain waste areas
- Keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and properly stocked
- Complete minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and tightening fixtures
- Perform basic painting and touch-ups to maintain the appearance of walls, benches, and surfaces
- Absorb and notify the Porter Lead of larger repair needs
- Handle seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and snow clearing
- Maintain exterior areas, including litter removal and general upkeep
- Support basic groundskeeping tasks, such as watering plants if applicable
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance checklists
- Complete end-of-shift reports and ensure all assigned tasks are finished
- Lock and secure the facility at the end of night shifts when scheduled
- Follow all safety procedures and the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Operate standard cleaning tools and basic power equipment safely
- Adhere to all company policies and operational standards
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience as a porter in hospitality, restaurant, or other relevant industry
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum age of 18 years
