Job Description

The person in this position performs the duties below as a member of the Maintenance team. The position plays a key role in the upkeep of our facility and grounds, to help maintain our Safe Quality Food Standards.

• Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.
• Must take immediate action to correct and/or report an unsafe conditions and hazards.
• Keep work area clean and organized, per 6S standards.
• Follow all applicable food service policies and procedures.
• Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required.
• Ensure all trash is picked up in and around facility, empty trash on a regular basis as scheduled.
• Sweep and/or mop in and around plant and offices as needed.
• Act as Baler support as needed.
• Clean break room and restrooms.
• Perform yard work on a regular basis as scheduled, keeping area clean at all times.
• Act as support for food audits.
• Empty trash bins using fork truck.
• Remove Snow and put down salt when needed.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be able to drive Forklift and work at heights from a platform lift.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills.
• Must be able to fill out appropriate paperwork.
• Must have ability to sweep and mop and perform trash removal duties.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and management.
