Porter

About the role

The Porter is responsible for cleaning and preparing new and used vehicles for display and delivery.

Schedule

8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday

Responsibilities

• Cleans, details, and vacuums interior of vehicles
• Washes, waxes, and buffs trucks
• Maintains the proper function of all service tools and equipment
• Repaints trucks as needed
• Coordinates work with team members
• Reports any damages or items in need of repair to management
• Maintains cleanliness in the detail bay and shop by disposing of trash, sweeping, etc.
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a current CDL Class A or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire
• One to three years of relevant experience is required
• Must be able to provide a professional and positive atmosphere for customers and ensure positive and effective customer relations
• Must be detail-oriented and possess strong listening skills and the ability to follow directions

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs
• Pulling up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and climbing into machines
• Dexterity: normal use of hands, wrists, and fingers
• Repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and fingers

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
