Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent Porter.

• Regularly inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the manufacturing facility.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools to carry out maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good working order, performing minor repairs as necessary.
• Assisting in the setup and teardown of production equipment.
• Collecting and disposing of waste materials in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Reporting any issues or hazards to the relevant supervisor or manager.
• Assisting with inventory management, including the receipt and storage of supplies.
• Performing other duties as assigned, including assisting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to lift heavy objects and spend long periods on your feet.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to work, with the ability to identify and address issues before they become problems.
• Basic mechanical skills, with the ability to perform minor repairs on tools and equipment.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
