Job Responsibilities

• Receives and sorts soiled linen into designated classifications.
• Operates automatic cart washer, as required.
• Removes linen carts from cart washer exit.
• Operates flatwork ironer, small piece folders, and fold linen following predetermined standards.
• Processes specialty items.
• Responsible for quality control, ensuring linens meet customer expectations.
• Identifies each linen distribution cart with proper labels and tags, covering all carts before transport.
• Fold and store linen to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Aids truck driver in loading linen and materials onto the truck.
• Notifies lead or supervisor on par levels or quantities of supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of work area.
• Provides friendly, efficient, and positive customer service.
• Adapts to customer needs and maintains assigned areas in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
• Uses judgment in determining appropriate cleaning techniques and follows department policies.
• Demonstrates efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions.
• May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies, using germicides and sterilizing equipment.
• Keeps cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensures all chemicals are accurately labeled and equipment is in good working condition.
• Promotes effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships and maintains professional conduct.
• Affords assistance in improving productivity and efficient operations of the department.
• Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence by adhering to training commitments.

Qualifications

• Past cleaning experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, senior management, and Aramark support staff.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
