Porter

About the role

We're seeking a talented Porter to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves maintaining the grounds, amenities, and building exteriors with a focus on maximizing the property's marketing appeal and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.
• Auxiliary tasks include preparing market-ready units, pressure washing exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc., assisting with property emergencies, cleaning available apartments and/or model homes and common areas of the community, addressing property maintenance concerns, and promoting customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive, active, and collaborative relationship with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
• Report any maintenance and/or life safety issues identified during regular duties clearly and immediately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Must comply with all safety requirements.
• Must complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passionate for meticulous curb appeal.
