About the role

We're seeking a dedicated porter to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves maintaining the grounds, amenities, and building exteriors of our properties, ensuring they are clean and appealing to attract residents.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
• Auxiliary in the preparation of market-ready units.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, and other areas as needed.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and clearing of other inclement weather conditions.
• Clean available apartments and model homes, as directed.
• Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather conditions.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents.
• Maintain confidentiality and foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
• Report any maintenance or life safety issues promptly.
• Operate a commercial snow blower and shovel snow as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle and defuse difficult situations.
• Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Completion and successful passing of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passion for maintaining meticulous curb appeal.
