About the role

We're seeking a talented Porter to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. This position involves maintaining the grounds, amenities, and building exteriors of our properties, ensuring they are clean and attractive to attract residents.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter on a daily basis.
• Auxiliary tasks include preparing market-ready units, pressure washing exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc., assisting with property emergencies, cleaning available apartments and/or model homes and common areas of the community, addressing property maintenance concerns, promoting customer satisfaction, and reporting any maintenance or life safety issues.
• Maintain a positive, active, and collaborative relationship with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
• Interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Must comply with all safety requirements.
• Must complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passionate for meticulous curb appeal.
