About the role

This position is responsible for daily interior cleaning and maintenance of the building, ensuring a safe and professional environment. Duties vary based on building, facility, and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Daily interior cleaning of the building, including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing, and mopping floors.
• Placing down mats/runners in inclement weather and cleaning up spills.
• Assisting with inventory control and supply ordering as needed.
• Promptly notifying management of spills, emergency situations, building repairs, broken equipment, damaged structures, plumbing issues, HVAC problems, and other safety concerns.
• Properly and safely using cleaning equipment, tools, devices, and chemical agents to perform duties efficiently and avoid harm.
• Following through on work orders and carrying out instructions from the designated supervisor.
• Being available for evenings or weekends in case of emergencies.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
• Reliable, thorough, observant, organized, flexible, and courteous.
• Effective listener and team player.
• Ability to understand written or verbal instructions.
• Some cleaning experience and basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school education.
• Some related experience.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The role requires regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands

• Travel from floor to floor, climb stairs, and move between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
• Remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time.
• Regularly use hands to operate office machinery and equipment.
• Regularly walk, talk, and hear.
• Travel up to 5% of the time, with frequency and duration varying.
• Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Pay

The compensation for this position is $16.00 - $16.50 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
