Portables - Fire Equipment Technician

About the role

Inspect, test, maintain, and recharge portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards. Perform on-site service calls at commercial, residential, and industrial properties. Educate customers on extinguisher types, usage, and compliance. Keep detailed service reports and help ensure our clients stay safe and code compliant. Be a visible, trusted face of Superhero Fire Protection in the field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain, and recharge portable fire extinguishers according to NFPA standards
• Perform on-site service calls at commercial, residential, and industrial properties
• Educate customers on extinguisher types, usage, and compliance
• Maintain detailed service reports
• Represent Superhero Fire Protection professionally in the field

Requirements

• Experience inspecting and servicing fire extinguishers and commercial hoods (1+ year preferred)
• Working knowledge of NFPA 10 and local fire codes
• Ability to work independently with great attention to detail
• Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license
• Customer-first mindset and a drive to protect lives

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Portable Fire Extinguishers (or willingness to obtain it)
• Experience with additional fire protection systems (suppression systems, alarms, sprinklers, etc.)
