Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and perform fire extinguisher checks in accordance with fire code.
- Identify system deficiencies and prepare accurate and timely inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.
- Accurately document services performed, including tagging and reporting.
- Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to customers and supervisors.
- Maintain and properly use tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job status and findings.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
- Use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Travel to job sites as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in fire portables and extinguisher devices as an apprentice or technician.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
- Strong understanding of portable fire protection equipment and applicable codes.
- Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role).
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in fire portables and extinguisher devices as an apprentice or technician.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks, strong understanding of portable fire protection equipment and applicable codes.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments; ability to lift 50+ pounds; exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites; ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
