POOLSIDE CAFE SERVER

About the role

Epping Forest Yacht and Country Club is seeking a Poolside Cafe Server for the Spring to Fall 2025 season. Located on the St. John's River, this premier yacht club offers a full-service cafe with a bar and dining area serving various pools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests have a very enjoyable dining experience by having a positive attitude, knowing the product, delivering top quality service, knowing and using the guests' names, and exceeding the guests' expectations.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Set up tables, clean and line up glasses and silverware, fill salt and pepper shakers, and ensure sugar holders are full and clean.
• Guide members and their guests through the dining experience, communicating frequently with them.
• Ring member checks accurately and on a timely basis.
• Communicate with the Cafe Captain or Service Director regarding closing times.
• Clean station and sidework as required.
• Close and check all member checks at the end of the shift.
• Turn in check-outs to the Café Captain or Service Director.
• Perform other jobs that assist in quality member service as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have six months of food service or private club server experience, including use of the Point Of Sale (POS) computer system.
• Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and/or oral direction in English.
• Must have a good understanding of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and a working knowledge of course sequence, utensils, plateware, and glassware.
• Must have a working knowledge of appropriate equipment and safety features.
• Must be able to work on feet for several hours at a time, lift up to 35 pounds, and move furniture, glasses, dishes, ice, beer, wine, and liquor.

• Must wear proper attire, including a name tag.
• Must have a professional and welcoming demeanor, with clean and neatly styled hair.

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items.

Pay

The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
