Responsibilities
- A pool technician responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of swimming pools by regularly testing water chemistry, adding necessary chemicals, cleaning pool surfaces, inspecting and repairing pool equipment like pumps, filters, and heaters, and addressing any issues related to pool maintenance and safety.
- Regularly testing pool water pH levels, chlorine levels, and other chemical parameters, adjusting chemicals as needed.
- Skimming debris from the water surface, vacuuming the pool floor, brushing pool walls and tiles.
- Inspecting and cleaning pool filters, pumps, heaters, and other equipment, identifying and repairing malfunctions.
- Identifying and fixing leaks in pool plumbing and structure.
- Performing seasonal tasks like draining and winterizing pools, or opening them for summer use.
- Ordering and maintaining necessary pool chemicals and parts.
- Adhering to local pool safety regulations and ensuring proper pool operation.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of pool chemistry and how to balance water levels.
- Knowledge of pool equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common pool problems.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor tasks like lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
