About the role

Solage, part of the Auberge Collection, is a wine country retreat offering luxurious accommodations, a spa, and dining experiences. The resort features 100 renovated studios and suites, complimentary bikes, and easy access to downtown.

Responsibilities

• Serve the needs of guests, members, visitors, and colleagues by taking food and beverage orders, retrieving and serving drinks and food orders to guests' chairs or cabanas.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation, method/time, ingredients, and quality standards.
• Understand and follow the steps of service.
• Anticipate and respond promptly to guests' needs.
• Maintain positive guest relations.
• Complete opening and closing side duties as assigned.
• Organize and clean the assigned station to ensure readiness before guests arrive.
• Guide the activities of the assigned assistant server and food runner to ensure optimal service.
• Set appropriate mise en place for each course before food arrives.
• Clear serving and drinkware of guests in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• One year of experience in a high-volume food and beverage establishment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and coworkers.
• Must have or be able to obtain RBS training and a food handlers certification within 30 days of hiring.

Skills and Abilities

• Anticipate and understand guest service needs.
• Differentiate between specific dietary requirements and allergies.
• Be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly during service.
• Focus on details.
• Suggestively sell food items and beverages.
• Access and input information into POS systems.
• Perform job functions with minimal supervision.

Pay

The starting rate for this role is $16.90 per hour, plus tips.
