About the Role

The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (Pool DPC RN) is a licensed professional able to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. This role delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-family centered care using evidence-based practice standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in core nursing competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, and more.
• Work minimum shifts including weekends and holidays as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
• Complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent for independent practice.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred; see additional qualifications for exceptions).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• 18 months of acute Emergency Room experience.

Additional Qualifications

• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), or 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role.
• RNs hired after the above dates with an Associate’s degree will have 3 years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
• Any of the following certifications may be required per department standard: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $40.03 to $50.14 per hour, depending on experience.
