Pool Pharmacy Technician Senior - Inpatient

About the role

The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports various aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription order entry, claim adjudication, medication preparation and dispensing, distribution, non-sterile and sterile compounding, inventory management, and the use of automated pharmacy devices and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Handles controlled substances
• Communicates with patients
• Maintains assigned work areas
• Affirms the age-specific needs of patients
• Performs all responsibilities in compliance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values, as well as state and federal regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician in a relevant practice setting
• Proficiency in the core systems and tools utilized within the practice setting
