About the role
The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports various aspects of pharmacy operations, including prescription order entry, claim adjudication, medication preparation and dispensing, distribution, non-sterile and sterile compounding, inventory management, and the use of automated pharmacy devices and equipment.

- Handles controlled substances
- Communicates with patients
- Maintains assigned work areas
- Affirms the age-specific needs of patients
- Performs all responsibilities in compliance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values, as well as state and federal regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered pharmacy technician in a relevant practice setting
- Proficiency in the core systems and tools utilized within the practice setting
