Responsibilities

• Follow well-defined instructions to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill and label medications.
• Refill Pyxis machines.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas.
• Prepare IV admixture solutions.
• Answer the telephone and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain medication stock levels.
• Ensure proper storage of medications to provide safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical services.
• Mentor and train students.

Requirements

• High School diploma, certificate, GED, training, or equivalent experience.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician license/certification.
• Hospital experience preferred (may include internship training hours).
• Maintain PTCB or ICPT Certification (three years of experience may substitute for the required certification).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 per hour, depending on shift.
