Responsibilities
- Follow well-defined instructions to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Fill and label medications.
- Refill Pyxis machines.
- Deliver medications to patient care areas.
- Prepare IV admixture solutions.
- Answer the telephone and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain medication stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage of medications to provide safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical services.
- Mentor and train students.
Requirements
- High School diploma, certificate, GED, training, or equivalent experience.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician license/certification.
- Hospital experience preferred (may include internship training hours).
- Maintain PTCB or ICPT Certification (three years of experience may substitute for the required certification).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Pay
Estimated pay range for this position is $23.50 per hour, depending on shift.
