About the role

The pharmacy intern 2 position builds on the intern 1 role, offering progressive experience under the supervision of a pharmacist. This role involves learning and performing all drug distribution functions, progressing to more advanced clinical assignments.

Responsibilities

• Preparing medications for dispensing, both sterile and non-sterile compounds
• Stocking automated dispensing machines
• Delivering medications
• Performing admission medication histories
• Medication counseling and patient education
• Assisting in precepting pharmacy technicians and IPPE pharmacy students
• Engaging in educational experiences, projects, and scholarship
• Ensuring patient care is provided under the supervision of a registered pharmacist

Requirements

• Florida Pharmacy Intern License (PSI) required
• Actively enrolled in a School/College of Pharmacy Professional Years 3 or 4
• BS and/or college course work in pre-pharmacy or equivalent

Pay

Estimated pay range for this position is $19.44 - $25.27 / hour depending on experience.
