Pool Pharmacist

Location: US:WI:MENOMONEE FALLS at our FROEDTERT MEN FALLS HOSPITAL facility. This job is ON-SITE.

Schedule

• Hours are variable based on departmental needs and employee availability.
• Weekend and/or weekday shifts are available on either 1st or 2nd shift (8-hour shifts).
• Pharmacists must provide a minimum of four available dates within each six-week scheduling period.
• Minimum commitment: one shift per six-week scheduling period.
• Opportunities to work additional shifts may become available based on employee availability and departmental staffing needs, including support for sick call coverage or other shift vacancies that arise after schedule publication.

About the role

Responsible for all aspects of pharmacotherapy on an assigned patient care unit. Provides clinical support and distribution services in coordination with physician and nursing services in delivering quality and cost-effective drug therapy to patients.

Experience

• A minimum of one year hospital or three years of other pharmacy experience is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. from an ACPE certified school of pharmacy is required.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency is preferred.

Special skills

• Demonstrates effective use of computers and applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook) as appropriate to practice.
• Communicates effectively.
• Active membership in the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) preferred.
• Active membership in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or other national pharmacy organizations as approved by the Pharmacy Administration preferred.

Licensure

• Active Wisconsin Pharmacist License is required or eligible for and must obtain within 3 months.
