We invite applications for a Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitalist for a Pool/PRN position in our Behavioral Health department to join our busy practice located in metropolitan Atlanta.
Responsibilities
- Exercise full PMHNP scope of practice, including autonomous diagnostic and medication management decision making.
- Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team (psychiatrists, NPs/PAs, social work, therapy, pharmacy, case management, etc.), maintaining collegial relationships with all teams within the hospital.
- Deliver psychiatric care across multiple behavioral health settings (inpatient psychiatry, PHP, IOP, residential/combined programs).
- Manage crises and safety concerns, including responding to escalations and supporting ED psychiatric triage.
- Participate in a shared call rotation, including urgent clinical decisions, after hours medication orders, and virtual assessments as needed.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program
- PMHNP-BC with active state APRN licensure and DEA
- Three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, plus two years of nurse practitioner experience
- Two years of clinical work experience in hospital setting
Qualifications
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia
- Current DEA license
- Current CPR certification

This is a Pool/PRN position, meaning you can work when needed, typically during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
