Major Responsibilities
- Establish working relationships with other human service providers
- Fully prepared to present a patient care case in court
- Conducts Mental health evaluations on all medical floors/ emergency care center as needed, and provides appropriate care interventions
- Works with the treatment team to analyze and interpret observations of patient’s behavior with information gathered about patient
- Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities
- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements
- Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors
- Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed
Position Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications/Educations Required: Graduation from an accredited graduate program in psychiatric nursing, Massachusetts censure as an advanced practice nurse, Board certified as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Association and recognized to practice in an expanded role by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
- Experience/Skills Required: Minimum of three years advanced clinical practice in psychiatric nursing. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
