About the role

The Nurse Intern at Baptist Health performs basic nursing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. They are flexible and capable of handling rapidly changing assignments.

Responsibilities

• Carries out all assignments given by the registered nurse with a minimum of continuous supervision.
• Is accountable to the nurses for all patient care given during a shift.
• Adheres to all standards of nursing care.
• Promotes teamwork among co-workers.

Requirements

• Actively enrolled in a nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Successfully completed a medical surgical nursing course and clinical.
• Must successfully pass the NCLEX within 90 days upon graduation of nursing program.

Qualifications

• High School, GED, Trn, Exper.
• Basic Life Support certification.
