POOL: Life Drawing Model

About the role

Modeling for art studio classes and individual artists is a time-honored profession providing employment in art schools and urban centers. This role involves posing for figure painting and drawing classes, often in the nude, and requires stamina, flexibility, and respect for the artistic process.

Responsibilities

• Construct interesting poses from a variety of views.
• Hold long poses with regular breaks.
• Perform sequences of very short poses for quick gestural drawings.
• Demonstrate comfort with a wide range of poses.
• Collaborate with professors to create special environments or incorporate costumes when requested.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Ability to hold poses for extended periods of time.
• Stamina and physical flexibility.
• Respect for the classroom and the discipline of drawing the human form.
• This position is fully on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual.
• Previous experience with nude modeling.

Pay

$20/hour
