About the role
The Instructor is a union covered position within the collective bargaining unit represented by United Academics of KU, AFT-AAUP, AFL-CIO.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Business Analytics, Information & Operations.
- Mentor students and provide guidance in their academic and professional development.
- Participate in curriculum development and course redesign efforts.
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues through collaboration and sharing of best practices.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in relevant discipline or closely related field.
- A terminal degree/professional degree in relevant discipline, OR a master’s degree plus seven years of relevant experience.
- A demonstrated record of teaching, training, research, scholarship or professional achievement.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in relevant discipline or closely related field.
- A demonstrated record of teaching in an academic setting or a record of mentorship, leadership or training experience in a professional setting.
- A terminal degree/professional degree in relevant discipline, OR a master’s degree plus seven years of relevant experience.
- A demonstrated record of teaching, training, research, scholarship or professional achievement.
Preferred Qualifications
- A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching courses in information systems.
- A strong record of professional experience in information systems or related field.
- Ability to design and deliver new courses successfully.
- Strong ties to the professional business community as demonstrated by employment or consulting activities.
