About the role

The Instructor is a union covered position within the collective bargaining unit represented by United Academics of KU, AFT-AAUP, AFL-CIO.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Business Analytics, Information & Operations.
  • Mentor students and provide guidance in their academic and professional development.
  • Participate in curriculum development and course redesign efforts.
  • Contribute to departmental and university initiatives.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in relevant discipline or closely related field.
  • A terminal degree/professional degree in relevant discipline, OR a master’s degree plus seven years of relevant experience.
  • A demonstrated record of teaching, training, research, scholarship or professional achievement.

  • Strong ties to the professional business community as demonstrated by employment or consulting activities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
