About the role

The Crisis Pool Clinician works on a PRN basis on available shifts at the 24/7 Crisis Center, functioning as a Walk-In Center Clinician.
Responsibilities
- Responds to Walk-In Center clients and provides necessary clinical interventions.
- Evaluates crisis clients according to mental health center and Medicaid timelines for response.
- Provides de-escalation, triage assessments, crisis interventions, and placements when indicated.
- Obtains collateral information from family, significant others, and other providers as appropriate and includes them in treatment planning.
- Follows principles of trauma-informed care to avoid harm and re-traumatization.
- Develops strength-based treatment plans that promote recovery, resiliency, and engagement with formal and informal support systems.
- Connects clients with the least-restrictive services necessary to ensure client, family, and community safety.
- Links clients to needed follow-up services as appropriate.
- Consults with WIC Nurse, licensed clinicians, administrator on-call, and on-call psychiatrist as needed, especially regarding co-morbid medical conditions.
- Completes documentation in compliance with Jefferson Center guidelines.
- Participates in supervision, training, and team meetings as directed.
- Exhibits enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and a spirit of cooperation in the work environment.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relations with consumers, peers, subordinates, upper management, visitors, and the general public.
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, or related field plus one year of related experience and/or training. May consider relevant pre-master’s degree experience.
- Licensure preferred.
- Meets the requirements of applicable federal, state, and organizational background checks.
- Ability to operate a personal computer.
- Ability to attend meetings at a variety of locations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Pay
- Pool Grade 51 (Master’s Unlicensed Clinician): $36.00/hr to $46.00/hr based on shift.
- Pool Grade 52 (Licensed Clinician LCSW, LMFT, LPC): $41.00/hr to $51.00/hr based on shift.
